Hillsborough Community College has a phlebotomy technician course trained by the Institute for Continuing and Corporate Education. The program is intended for those that are seeking a comprehensive training course. This program requires 88 credit hours to complete the course.

At the moment, classes are every Saturday, Tuesday and Thursday. Students must be in the classroom on Saturdays from 9:00AM to 12:30PM and on Thursdays and Tuesdays from 6:00PM to 9:00PM. This total charge of the tuition, uniforms, and textbooks is $1,499.

The program at the Florida Medical Training Institute is a qualification program that is designed to allow students with both entry level EKG and phlebotomy responsibilities to enroll. This course has 200 hundred credit hours, 120 of which are used as an externship.
